JALSHRISHTI ISLAND RESORT, MULSHI

Located in Mulshi area of Pune, this island resort of 14 acres, provides a perfect holiday for a day or two for city goers. As the resort is located on the island surrounded by Mula River on all sides, during monsoon, it is experienced that the entire area gets flooded. Hence, the cottages are built at a particular height above the ground. The cottages are made completely out of wood providing a traditional outlook and a quiet living environment. The inside of the cottages is quite specious and neat and clean.

While the cars are parked at the river end, the tourists and their baggage is carried by a box boat which is pulled by ropes from one end to the other providing a different experience to the visitor. Once inside the resort, first you get to the Reception area. Behind which is the Restaurant, thereafter the swimming pool, followed by the cottages on both ends.

They have two types of cottages viz. 8 cottages (Jalpushp) on the river side on both ends and 7 cottages (Jalakha) surrounding a Pond in the middle of the island. They have pathway built on both sides which finally leads to the back area containing farms and area for bullock cart ride, tractor ride, horse ride etc.

How to reach?

From Pune: It is a 36 km drive and the road condition is excellent. You reach the resort in an hour and ten minutes.
