I along with my wife accompanied by my daughter and her family, we set out for a two days holiday at Glenview Villa, Aja Parvat, Shahpur. It is a homestay arranged through StayVista. The villa has 6 rooms wherein 12 people including 4 families can stay. 4 rooms are at the ground level and 2 rooms are located on the basement behind the entrance. .

The rooms are very clean and tidy. The villa is very well maintained. It has got a private swimming pool (smaller in size) next to the main hall. It has a caretaker, separate dining area, parking, gen set power backup, lawn with lush green grass and parking area in front.

We travelled from Mumbai by two vehicles consisting of 10 people. First we visited The Shrine of Infant Jesus at Nashik. It took us almost 5 hours as the traffic was quite heavy on account of Independence Day and following Saturday and Sunday. We had lunch at the Shrine and then we set off to the villa. It was another 3 hours drive from Nashik. By the time we reached the villa, it was almost 6.00pm. The villa is located at about 10 kms away from Shahpur village in the interior surrounded by forest and hills.

We had early dinner and thereafter we played games and called it a night.

The next day morning, we set out for a trek of The Ajobagad hilly area. At about 5 kms away from the villa, there is a tomb of sage Valmiki at Dehene village. It is a trek of climbing to the base of the mountain. History has it that Sita mata stayed here and her two sons Luv and Kush were born here. Sage Valmiki was known by the boys as Ajoba. Hence, this place is known as Ajobagad. It took us almost 3.1/2 hours to go up the hill and return back to the villa. It was a wonderful experience walking through the green surroundings. The locals here visit the site on two wheelers. We preferred to walk.

After returning to the villa, we had bath and then settled for lunch. The food was very tasty. They have a professional cook and 3 servers.

After sumptuous meal, we relaxed for about 2 hours and then played housie, and Flip Uno. We had tea at 4.00pm and then got into the swimming pool.

After spending some time in the swimming pool, we relaxed for some time and then had our dinner. Post dinner again we played some more games and then settled for the night.

On day 3 we had breakfast at 9.00am, we had to check out and move back to Mumbai. Our pick up vehicles got delayed but we finally moved out from the villa at 11.30am. We had lunch on the way and reached back to Mumbai at 3.30pm.

It was a relaxing 2 days holiday in the midst of nature which was quite refreshing.
