Where to see?

3 kms from the Resort and 5 kms from Chiplun city on the Mumbai-Goa highway, there is the Savatsada water fall. The water flow in this waterfall is not very huge but it has substantial height. The local authorities have built a pathway right upto the waterfall from the road.

1.1/2 kms from the resort is the Parashuram Temple, the abode of Lord Parashuram. About 3 centuries old, this temple attracts tourists and devotees from far and across. The access to the temple is through a narrow road driveway or alternatively, there are about 75-80 steps to go down to visit and temple from the road. The temple also has bhakt niwas.

Between Mahad and Chiplun, there is a three-tier waterfall seen at a distance from the road while driving. You will find waterfall on the way from Umraj (via Satara) to Chiplun also.

Where to eat?

The resort has a restaurant which serves delicious food both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. But being a star resort, the food is a little expensive. If you are looking for cheaper meals, in Chilplun city which is at a distance of 8 kms from the resort, on the highway there are number of restaurants on either side of the road. We entered into a small restaurant called Hotel Abhishek near the Chiplun circle serving Malwani food. The meal was very delicious and less expensive.

Summing Up

If you wish to be among greenery and nature, Chiplun is one of the options.
